About Us
Franchise Expo Malaysia is back in 2025 for its 8th edition, continuing its evolution as a premier event in the franchise industry since its inception in 2016. Over the years, this event has grown in size, scope, and influence, becoming the leading franchise expo not only in Malaysia but across Southeast Asia — and now, it's poised to make its mark on the global stage.
The theme for Franchise Expo Malaysia 2025, "Invest In Your Future" reflects the dynamic fusion of technological innovation and entrepreneurial growth that is shaping the future of franchising. With a strong foundation and a forward-thinking mindset, franchising is not just a business model — it's a gateway to a sustainable future. Investing in a franchise offers entrepreneurs a proven business structure, a well-established brand, and a lower-risk path to success with ongoing expert support.
The Malaysian franchise industry has seen remarkable growth in recent years, with franchising now spanning a broad spectrum of sectors, including food & beverage (which comprises nearly 50% of the registered franchises), education, healthcare, beauty, fashion, and more. This diverse range of opportunities provides entrepreneurs with a wealth of choices, ensuring there is a franchise for almost every interest and skill set.
As the world becomes increasingly interconnected, international franchising is emerging as a key strategy for brands looking to grow beyond their borders. Franchisors are actively seeking expansion opportunities in new, untapped markets, while adapting their business models to meet local preferences. According to market research, the global franchise industry was valued at USD 100.8 billion in 2021 and is projected to grow at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 9.73%, reaching USD 176 billion by 2027.
